Located in the northwest corner of Montgomery County in central North Carolina, Uwharrie Point is about 50 miles of from Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Pinehurst, and only a little further from Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. While the community is naturally sheltered from the noise and rush of urban life, it is by no means isolated. The charming towns of Albemarle, Concord, Salisbury, Kannapolis, Lexington, Thomasville, and Asheboro are within a stone's throw, or about a 25-40 minute drive, each offering a bit of local culture for a lazy afternoon.
