From the time Tom Fazio cut the ribbon
on the Old North State Club course, it has received rave reviews.
For six consecutive years, a panel of distinguished golf writers,
professionals, and avid players have rated it the top private course
in North Carolina. Of all the courses in the state, private or public,
only Pinehurst #2 has rated higher. The fact that the Atlantic Coast
Conference has consistently played its conference golf championships
here is yet another testimony to the superb design of the course.

The

A recent study conducted by the U.S.
Department of the Interior shows that 76% of the shoreline from Lake
Wylie, south of Charlotte, to Lake James, near Morganton, is already
developed or soon will be. While the percentages may change a little,
the same is true of almost all fresh water lakes in the region. These
locations are so attractive that the supply is rapidly disappearing.
Over the past
year, more and more financial advisors have been urging people to

and enjoyed. And, in many instances, real estate values have been
appreciating nicely. As a matter of fact, overall real estate prices
